Misty mountains

Our transient sun has truly gone. It proved flat calm and balmy this morning so we had our postponed 'Bonfire of the Inanities'. However recently the wind has fairly risen and it has started raining on Hoy - this confirmed from friends who are staying over in a renovated croft this weekend.

The oystercatcher on the dyke is trying to hunker down. However they get in a fair paddy and clatter about if they have chicks in the vicinity.

A visitor brought me some Green Spot whiskey earlier - an unexpected bonus. Dougal and Kathleen are coming for dinner tonight. CMC has just informed me I have to go out and weed the polytunnel.

No chance of me exceeding the old blipometer in these conditions.
