Gladioli 'Oscar'

I started with a swim first thing and was quite surprised that one of the other swimmers in the fast lane actually started a conversation with me after not giving me the time of day when I've seen him for the last two years.  

Then it was at home, doing the odd job while keeping an eye on the Olympics.  What a day of sport, with the highlight for me being Tom Pidcock's gold medal in the mountain biking.  How he managed to recover from a puncture, losing 40 seconds to the leader half way through the race was exceptional.

This gladioli is the variety 'Oscar', which we bought last year after L's sister's family dog of the same name died. It will always be a memory for us when it comes into flower.
