Lifelong grief

i had another day on the workfloor. In the afternoon we sat outside with our elderly for taking coffee in the afternoon. She was holding an old photograph of a child. I asked her who it is? She siad it is my first born who died at a verry young age. She still was expressing her grief. I have seen with my grand mother , who lost her husband in WWll due to being captured and finally losing life in a concentration camp, also a lifelong grief for the loss .
