A banging good view!

This morning we decided to check out Gowans Hill in Stirling. This is the view to the east from an offshoot, Mote Hill which also hosts the “Beheading Stone” which was the site of several high profile executions way back in the day. Getting those old cannon up there would have been quite an effort and why they were sited there I cannot figure out. They seem to be aimed at the Stirling Rowing Club boathouse, the white building in the middle distance.
