Pond
We went into town this morning to try to find out why there was a parcel at the Post Office requiring custom’s duty to be paid of £35.19. Our postman delivered the card, but we are not aware of anything being sent to us requiring custom’s duty. When we arrived during the late morning it was to discover that the part of the Post Office we required was only open from 8am to 10am. It will now be Thursday before we can go again to check where the parcel has been sent from and maybe even guess at what is inside. We have been warned, by someone in another part of the Post Office, that although it appears genuine it could still be a scam and that once the duty is paid the sender could then ask for the “item” to be paid for; a new scam we were not aware of.
Today’s picture is of our still very large pond. When I first lived here, almost forty years ago, the pond was dry by the end of April and did not refill until December.
The temperature at noon today the temperature was twenty-five degrees Celsius.
