In my role as the family tech expert I was asked to look at my grandson’s tablet as it was “glitchy” which is actually a euphemism for “broken”!
So, I asked for the charging cable which took a while to find and turned out to be an Apple charger not a Samsung one…but it wouldn’t charge anyway. Having researched a bit online I could see that the issue was likely the battery but could be the cable, so I took it into CEX in town and asked them to try a proper Samsung cable, but no luck…it was completely defunct!
The manager in CEX knows us well so he hunted around for a cheap tablet for us and we got this one, it’s a 7” Samsung tablet and it was really cheap as it’s 8 years old (but still 3 years newer than the broken one!). Just charged it and got it up and running, trying to buy a case for it then it can be handed over to my grandson at the weekend.
Also had a random email from Lego which I thought was a scam but it turned out to be real and my payment for my new Lego sets had been declined…just had to use a different card and it’s all sorted!
