Spotlight

Walking in the woods this morning my eye was caught by a 'spotlight' of sunshine on this fallen branch…I also liked the shape of the little shadow created by the small branch sticking out.

I underexposed by a whole stop to maintain detail and texture in the brighter bits.

When I was processing it I quite liked the overall effect with the background (green leaves) rendered almost black.
