Picnic At Clanging Lock

After all the colour and busyness of yesterday's images I went with something much more muted and contemplative for today's shot.
This wonderful tree providing such glorious dappled shade with it's accompanying picnic table on, at last, a warm and fabulously sunny summer's day is at one of our now favourite spots - Teston Bridge Country Park. 
It hasn't always been the calming and peaceful space that we're used to at times recently as you have been able to hear the clanging next to the nearby lock from refurbishments being carried out to the adjacent sluice but happily today it was back to being an oasis of quiet and we could just enjoy the tranquil surroundings and arboreal splendour.
