At Last

Butterfly numbers seem to be picking up at last.

This afternoon, I saw many meadow browns and also lots of whites, mostly small whites.

There was also one red admiral and one small tortoiseshell, Aglais urticae.  Numbers of the latter have plummeted in the last few years so I was particularly pleased to see one and so make it my blip for today.
