Tillie, Asbury, Springsteen and more

I’m playing Blip catch-up. …… starting with this photo from a road trip in June. I helped escort a group of elderly ladies to Asbury Park. At the Retirement Village where I work, a son asked to help his Mom see the Ocean again (one last time?!?). So son & Mom, 2 of her mobility-challenged lady friends, with a few escorts traveled to Asbury Park. I narrated along the way; the still-rocking Stone Pony club where Bruce got his start (whom the ladies remembered - altho Sinatra & Mel are still their favorites), next door to “Tillie” & his Wonder Bar, Asbury’s Convention Center - now a great craft market with gourmet eateries. It was a beautiful day for everyone.
