Peak Puffin

Sometimes choosing a blip is easy - you can spot the picture of the day quite easily. Other days (like today) you narrow it down to a short list of 25 and then start figuring how many extras you want to use.

I've spent a lot of time at Sumburgh Head over the years, but I can't remember seeing so many puffins and pufflings.

The main picture is one of several pufflings (in various states of fluffiness), the extra is one of many groups of puffins who were enjoying the early evening sunshine.
