Orange-spined drone fly

An enjoyable gardening day, mostly in the shade of a tree, with a few flying visitors. Picture Insect identified this one  for me, so I hope it's correct. I wonder, on average, how many different visitors there are in a suburban garden. I seem to have encountered some very unusual ones in recent months.
