Early.
This is Crummock Water. I have Blipped this lake before, but not with mist rising in front of the boat house and a duck family swimming passed. I haven't been to Lanthwaite Wood and Crummock for some time so off I went. To my surprise the carpark already had six cars and it wasn't even 7.30. At least the seat overlooking the lake was empty so it was a perfect morning to take in the scene and drink coffee, plus briefly chatting to dog walkers. Something I hadn't seen was fishermen. They trundled their boats to the 'beach, prepared for the off and away they went. These boats were propelled by 'pedals' inside the bow so no paddles to frighten the fish. The day was perfect for wild swimmers who added to the ripples on the lake. Yes, pretty decent I'd say.
