Pop-Up Breakfast at the Westside Farmers’ Market

Popular local chef Brad Briske prepared a four course outdoor meal for over a hundred hungry fans at the Farmers’ Market this morning. Almost all the ingredients were sourced from local vendors, and as each dish was brought to the community tables the servers announced its pedigree: lettuce from Blue Heron farm, coffee and baguettes courtesy of Companion Bakeshop, and so on. We’ve been going to these family-style fundraisers for several years, and it’s always a treat to spend a couple of hours having a delicious leisurely meal, to learn more about our local agriculture, and to meet new folks who are interested in supporting the Market.
