The Honest Lad carries the Burgh flag leading about 70 riders around the boundaries of Musselburgh.  Here they are on the border with Midlothian near Crossgatehall.  This annual event celebrates a tradition that dates back to the 17th century when they checked the boundaries for English invaders.  More information on this two years ago and here
