one day in France

No 1 son and I took No2 son to the station in Saintes for his 08.30 train to Bordeaux this morning. We were a bit worried given yesterday’s arson and vandalism on the railways in SW France, but it all ran smoothly and he got his flight back to Belfast on time.
No  1 son and family drove up to Caen for their overnight ferry, and again we were warned of disruption because of the annual July/August holiday changeover, but they seemed to be ok.
So now there is just us, my daughter and family, and Ted of course, and we had a quiet afternoon as both the children are quite tired now.
The weather is down to 25 degrees, and a bit cloudy, but we’re thankful not to have the torrential Parisien downpours!
