A day in South Lanarkshire. 

A slow morning / laundry/ coffee / reading / shopping before lunch and then hustling the boys into town and onto a train. 

To Glasgow. A circuitous wander from Queen St to Central and off to Hamilton West. 

Another circuitous wander took us to find trolleys before heading to New Douglas Park to take in the new look Stirling Albion take on Hamilton Accies. 

We played them 4 times last year, lost 2 at Hamilton and drew the two home games. They got promoted,we dropped down a division so we now occupy different spheres all together.

We met Gav who's now s former colleague who's son in law was a promising youngster. From Hibs to Ross County,  Motherwell,  Kilmarnock and Barnsley the promise has now taken him to Hamilton. I last saw him at Stenhousemuir v Brechin where he won £350 on the 50/50 draw....

The game was not a classic and as it wore on the prospect of an unlikely draw increased....  until the final whistle when we actually finally believed it to be possible.

4-2 to us on penalties, a sprint for the train and home after midnight.

Fuck The Well. Hamiltons nearest and dearest rivals are Motherwell.
