Day at a Time

Nibon

Today is the final day in Shetland for 2024. Tonight we will be on the boat bound for Aberdeen where we'll arrive at 07:00 tomorrow.

To make the most of the day we set off early and went to Nibon. It is a tiny place at the end of a single track road and is very picturesque. The first time we went there we were directed  by a Shetlander or we'd never have found it.

A tradition for us is to have lunch at Busta House Hotel on the last day.  We're currently in the long room of the hotel having coffee. Then we'll have a walk in the garden and after lunch head back to Lerwick to pack and tidy the flat.

This has been a splendid trip. The weather has been so kind and has allowed us to do a lot. It's been great to do new things (Skerries, Noss trip) as well as old favourites.

Thank you for all the kind comments, hearts and stars while I've been away. I've hardly had time for blip I'm afraid. We're looking forward to home but for now I'm going to enjoy the final few hours in Shetland.
