Olympic opening ceremony, Paris

We watched all of this.  It was incredibly well co-ordinated - no glitches, apart from the pouring rain!  A lot of it didn’t appeal that much to us, but it was interesting to watch.  The silver horse that galloped along the Seine was pretty amazing I must say.  We also liked the way the flame is around a balloon which is flying above for the duration of the Olympics.  And Celina Dion - amazing singing!  I am so pleased that she has got her voice back, it was so moving to hear her.

We had a short visit from Stuart’s brother today who was staying in the area.  It was good to catch up.  I don’t think we shall be seeing our great nephews and nieces any time soon, due to a divorce situation that has affected everything and everyone over the last six years or so.  I shall say no more!
