I think I might be happy

Si had things to do about the house today so I took the car in.  Maybe not a good idea because I had a migraine yesterday 

But I had one member off sick. One working from home (I do wish people would give this shit up ) and one on holiday. So today. I was it 

Phones reception, running the world 

Si called me to say he was walking to town and would pick up my library book  and that he was going to check out the new pub 

Yes!! A pub opened in time for the bloody Open too.  I drove home from work flicking the finger to the Open Golf people .

I parked in the car park which wasn't to be used by the open traffic so it was completely full of pot holes 

I crossed the road and popped in 

Not too much different from when I was last in which was maybe ........ 10 years.  We were just trying to figure that out.  It was the Railway in my Youth. When I met Si it was JDs ; then it was Bruce's Well and neither of us think we were in then when it was that.  And it's been closed and slowly falling apart for possibly 4 years 

They have done the bear minimum - lain lino over the tiles in the bath room. Paneling over the wallpaper 

They've recovered the seats and gotten new chairs and a paint job 

I was surprised at how busy it was. si said that was the quietest it has been all afternoon 
.is nice that there's somewhere folk can go and just have a drink ... Everywhere is Bisto / Diners now
