Learning to crochet

I made the blue coaster this evening whilst watching on TV the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris. Previously I made a few wobbly granny squares.
The vase is from Clovelly pottery and the grass was from the alongside the canal in Exeter when I lived there. The plant was given to me when I left working for States of Guernsey 3 years ago already….
