Mid morning the garage rang saying they were doing my car, but it needed rear brake shoes was that okay? Another couple of hours and they rang to say it was ready, so I finished my lunch and caught the bus. Amazing that you I don't realise how sloppy the brakes are until they're adjusted.
My only photo! It's my Ramblers group summer event tomorrow and this is my contribution, beans (of course) with lemon, mint, pepper and feta. The first item added to the beans was a chopped chilli, but it was way too hot and so I picked it out! I was going to do something vegan, but the addition of the feta means it's definitely not!
While I was chopping, facing the kitchen window, the window cleaner came round to do the back, making me jump as I hadn't heard him doing the front. He only charges £12 which I don't think is very much for a 3 bed semi, so I transferred £15 and WhatsApped him to say I'd paid. He agreed that it was time to raise his prices.
And now I must walk up the allotment to water!
Edit: on the way back who should be walking towards me but B*****d Steve, most likely on his way to the pub. There was that split second when we each realised who it was, and he didn't seem to know what to do. I took the initiative and crossed the road. I'm surprised it hasn't happened before as I have to walk past his road to get to the allotment. Still slightly unsettling two years on.
