Bar Headed Goose

The grandchildren were keen to go on a train ride so we took the 1028 from Kents Bank to Grange Over Sands.  They were very excited.  From the station we walked to see the ducks (and geese) in the Ornamental Gardens, then the garden centre, along the Promenade to the swings, which they enjoyed for ages..  

We had lunch on the Promenade and then walked home.  They have now departed for their journey south.

It has been a good visit and Granddad and I are now going to lie in a dark room to recover.
