Time and Tide

It's the first day of a week off for me, so I wanted to take Mum out for the day. The forecast was for hot, hot and even hotter, so a day by the coast seemed in order. We headed to Dover, and St Margaret's Bay - a popular beach from my youth, but today remarkably quiet. There is a little cafe serving drinks, freshly prepared food and ice cream - what more could we ask for!

On arrival, the sun was obscured by a fairly heavy haze which kept the temperature down to a pleasant 20 degrees or so, and the tide was coming in. Leaving Mum on the prom with the paper, I dashed down to the waters edge to get some shots of the sand patterns which were very quickly disappearing. It bought to mind the saying Tide and Time wait for no man which fits in quite nicely with HeartFreek's July Challenge
