Piel Castle

The grandchildren had heard us talk about our trip to Piel Island and were keen to go. We were the only people on the ferry and it took about 10 minutes. The children thought is quite an adventure. We looked around the castle remains, they played on the beach and we walked around the island. We waited for the returning ferry, then drove to Holker for tea and the swings there to let them expend some energy.

Out for dinner later.
