On the river

Today I found this adolescent duckling snoozing on a mat of weed on the river.  Kindly s/he opened an eye for a moment so I got this bright little peeper shining at the camera ;)

It's been a pretty wet day, though not impossible.  I've taken things slowly and allowed myself a bit of time to relax.  Tomorrow is R's funeral.  My darling boy is taxiing me there and back, so that's one worry out of the way.

And tonight - well very shortly - I will be announcing the results of WFW24_16, which is an absolute pleasure.  Back with those details soon.
