John o' Gaunt ... by Alan Ward

Met up with a friend at Lancaster Castle. The talented sculptor and calligrapher - Alan Ward - has a workshop/studio there. He's gradually been creating portrait busts of a number of people connected with the Castle. I hadn't seen thus chap before! A double treat... as the bells of Lancaster Priory were ringing a peal.
