LaVerne

It was my group’s monthly birthday luncheon day and LaVerne was one of two women who we were celebrating. She’s still new to the group but is settling in with everyone. It’s hard to be the new kid on the block. We tried a new place today and won’t go back because of the service. Despite that, it’s always nice to get together.

The rest of the day has been filled with another camera club meeting and Singles group secretarial duties. I’ve been trying to figure out the simplest way to create a roster that will make everyone happy. A daunting task. I’ll end the day watching a baseball game.

My kids are great at experiencing different cultures. They’ll try anything - from chicken nuggets at an Indian restaurant to chicken nuggets at a Mexican restaurant.
