Off on an adventure..................

Today we had a plan.................. the plan was to go to either Perranporth or Newquay, walk along the beach, have a bit of lunch and then come home.

Mmmmm.................... best laid plans and all that. ............We set off for Perranporth/Newquay but when we got to the St Erth roundabout, Ann said, 'Let's go to the Penrose Estate instead'. So that is what we did.

Parked in the free car park at Helston (near the boating lake) and walked through the Penrose Estate to Porthleven. I was off my lead for pretty much the whole walk. Yay! Then we walked along the coastal path to Loe Bar and then back through the Penrose Estate to the boating lake.

We walked for 7.5 miles which took us about 2.5 hours. It was hot but fortunately there were loads of places where I could have a drink.

And do you know what?........................... just as we got back to the car, it started to pour with rain. 

.................... How lucky were we to have such a lovely walk without getting wet?!!
