Sgùrr Dearg (In Pinn) & Sgùrr na Banachdich

Another fantastic day up on the ridge - principal objective today was to climb the Inaccessible Pinnacle, which we managed, and we also fitted in Sgùrr na Banachdich thus making it another 2-Munro day :-)

Main snap shows the 'In Pinn', and you should be able to make out some climbers reaching the end of the first-pitch on the route up the pinnacle (right-hand, sloping side) - we were close behind this group and three of us, with a guide, climbed the pinnacle then abseiled off and back onto the main ridge below!

1st extra shows my two walking partners for the day - I and R, with our guide P pointing out the top of the 'In Pinn', which you can just make out at the crest of the skyline as it towers out above the ridge; 2nd extra shows P getting ready to belay R off of the pinnacle - by this stage I've abseiled off and am happily at the bottom taking snaps; 3rd extra shows R abseiling down the pinnacle face!

After all the excitement of climbing the 'In Pinn' we treated ourselves to a bit of celebratory lunch, then we headed over to ascend Sgùrr na Banachdich, before going back down to Glen Brittle - on the way down we passed some wonderful plunge-pools and it took no encouragement for a couple of the group to cool off with a quick dip :-)

Such a memorable, and enjoyable day.
