On Some Days

Angel . . . Sarah McLachlan

Wide Wednesday . . . Something Old

Living in a young country the term old has to be relative.  I enjoy seeing Bob's blips of churches from the 11th centuary.  Nothing like that here.  I went to the local cemetery and looked at the headstones.  This one is for William McRae of Sutherlandshire, Scotland.  Google told me he emergated on the Lady Nugent in 1849 with his wife and three children.  He died in 1867 and his wife died in 1879.  I learnt a new word, relict is a formal term for widow.  On the headstone Sarah the wife is called a relic.  I thought it might be a Scots word but no.
Thanks Bob for keeping it wide on Wednesday
