Evening rose

Wow! What a scorcher :)
It was 48 degrees C in my garden this morning. Even now in the shade at 8pm its 30.

I had a load of herbs that my mum gave me a week ago (I had a good herb garden in my old house and really miss it) and it took me all day to repot them into bigger containers (no room in the garden). I had to keep coming inside for a break and pints of water.

I was going to cycle down to the river or the lakes this evening but it's just too hot.
So it's an early evening blip of another of the rose bushes I'm discovering in my new garden :)

Whilst I'm typing this I'm sipping an ice cold pear cider - and it;s going down a treat!
