Tuesday
When we drove through London in the early hours of Friday the 21st of June, a speed camera caught us doing 25mph where the limit was 20mph.
I think most of central London is now 20mph.
Anyway, I received a letter advising me of a fine but not specifying the amount. Had the letter said, say, £50, I'd have just paid it.
We had the chance to appeal so we wrote a brief account of why we were driving over the limit.
A few days later, a reply arrived requesting proof of our story. We sent a copy of Florence's discharge letter and today, we heard the fine was dropped.
Driving at 20mph, for miles, is actually quite difficult!
Another lovely day which started with a walk across the fields and time spent gardening.
Florence had a call with work this morning. Then cried a lot. Then cheered up and later, Jess met her for a coffee.
Becca, the friend that saved her life that night, video called this evening and that's done Florence a lot of good!
In other news, my daughter in law is 30 today. I'm sure she and Henry celebrated.
