Roses -all David Austin
We’ve had a relaxing day after Mr C got his holiday insurance sorted. I’m glad he’s on the ball about such stuff as apparently he wasn’t covered for a “cruise”. He had to pay an extra £150.
I spoke to Wild Frontiers about the possibility of another expedition in 2025. Mr C has set his heart on the Pamir Highway but the altitude of over 15,000 ft is a bit daunting.
The sun appeared so I tended the roses then got on with the front of my Shetland coat and read “Caledonian Road”. It’s clever and witty but some sections I find tedious.
#3 daughter and family are staying with Luke’s aunt in Herts and today went to the Tower of London.
#2’s students gave her flowers, cake and fizz at the end of their course. That’s her uni lecturing done for the summer. Holidays in Germany for them soon.
