Royal Navy cadet training vessel, TS Royalist

TS Royalist seems to me a stupid name for a boat. In a Beatles skit, George Harrison, one of the Fabulous Foursome said: “Meanwhile on the deck of HMS Tremendous….”  I thought he’d made it up, but I asked Mr Google who told me that there have been two Royal Navy ships called HMS Tremendous, one late 19th century, one early 20th century. Maybe going to a Public School does not grant you poetic gifts.
    I have a pal who owns a small gunboat on Loch Ness where TS Royalist will shortly find itself. His boat is called MV Republican.
