The Taff Trail

The Orienteering today involve a lengthy bus journey and steep walk up to the area. Jill and I opted for a steady bike ride along the Taff Trail. A cycle route alongside the river which took us to Cardiff Castle. The surface was tarmaced and apart from the odd bump where tree roots pushed up the surface an excellent ride. We didn’t go into the castle but views from the outside were interesting. Not at all what you would expect.

We had coffee in the nearby park and hoped to explore the secret garden. Unfortunately it was closed. However the plants outside were certainly attractive to the bees. A flavour of the ride is given in the extras. The door was the entrance to the Secret Garden.
