The customary holiday cottage 10am checkout meant we were home by lunchtime from our time in Northumberland and then a very lazy afternoon on the sofa ensued. I finished my book...it took ages, I may have snoozed, at least once.

But a teatime pedal out back perked me up, enough for me to take a chair out to the park afterwards with my new read to enjoy some early evening sunshine.
