A very hot day!

The temperature in Leesburg & Washington was set to hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit today!!

Far too hot for anymore sightseeing, so after packing up we headed into Leesburg and had a delicious traditional breakfast in an American diner :-)

Then we drove towards Dulles airport and spent the majority of the day in the air conditioned National Air & Space Museum where we saw the Discovery Space Shuttle, a retired (French) concord and many other fascinating aircraft :)

We were joined by Paula for the day which was lovely and then collected by Uncle Frank & Joan to escort us to the airport and collect the car we had borrowed.

A late flight home @ 10:30pm!
