Ruby-throated ...

... hummingbird.

Since our plans for a blipmeet playdate have been postponed again we were able to get over to the jewelers that's been repairing my wedding bands.  We had dropped them off over a month ago so it was about time they were ready!  

Unfortunately the band on my engagement ring had broken because the last time I had them resized the jeweler (a different one that I will not be going back to) made the band so thin it was only a matter of time that this would happen.  Both wedding bands were very thin so I had this jeweler make them thicker by adding more gold.  And the head on the diamond also needed to be replaced.  So even though the repair was more than double ($$) the original quote it was worth doing as I certainly wouldn't want to loss the diamond.  

In the morning before we left for our errands I was sitting outside photographing the squirrels when Richard saw this beautiful ruby-throated hummingbird.  The lighting was terrible and I wasn't crazy about the coloring of the picture so I've made the background mono.

Also coming to visit was a black-capped chickadee ... which I've posted to Facebook.
