Bluebell

I’ve been putting off posting this. Always a bit of a downer returning home as I said yesterday, but more so this time as we knew Bluebell had been missing for a week.

Son Alex fed her last Saturday night as he had been doing all week but there was no sign of her on Sunday morning. The food he left then wasn’t touched when he returned Sunday evening and that is how it has continued all week.

Two very good neighbours have searched extensively for her on our behalf but sadly to no avail. Thank you very much to them.

So it looks as though this is farewell. We’ve had her nearly 14 years and her life with us has been charted on blip over those years. We don’t know exactly how old she was when we got her so her actual age isn’t that clear, probably between 15/16.
The tag ‘Bluebell’ finds her among the many bluebell flower blips over those years. The most recent one was just three weeks ago in her familiar pose as jigsaw helper. Here
And 6 years ago today on blip here

The blip is her in her prime taken some years ago, a picture I really like but have never used. She had lost a lot of weight recently but despite vet consultations no conclusions were drawn just advice given to feed her as often as she wants.

The house does feel empty at the moment without her, she was a beautiful cat and she will be missed.
