Courtesy water?

A very strange occurrence today: two people arrived at our gate with a pack of ‘Courtesy Water’. This they said was because there may be an interruption of  mains supply. They also had a pack for our next door farm.
Very obliging, you might think. Except that we are on a private spring, which is running fine thank you very much. And how much use is six bottles of water to a herd of 50 dairy cattle?
Very mysterious.
It was warm again today, though overcast. We are working on clearing out our shed prior to getting it replaced, this is a mountainous task of course, especially with all the spare beehive equipment needing a place to go. Rob had a go at tidying some frames while I took all the glass out of the greenhouse, which would otherwise be in grave danger of breaking.
Then we retired to watch the end of le Tour, and a great finish it was too with Pogacar gaining time right to the end. We are already looking forward to next year’s, maybe even to go and watch a stage or two!
