Mystery bird's nest

Walking around the garden this morning, I like to do this first thing every day at this time of the year, I came across this tiny bird’s nest on a path. There were no signs of eggs or chicks. 
Could it have fallen out of a tree? Unlikely, since this path leads into the wild garden full of big shrubs and dense vegetation.
Clearly it belonged to a bird nesting close to the ground. I  think it’s a dunnock’s nest.  Certainly, there are plenty of these birds in the garden as I have discovered through my Merlin app.
