Norway - Day #2

A whole day exploring Trondheim .  28,000 exhausting paces.  We climbed up the scaffolding at the side of the cathedral, with a stone mason describing the conservation .(extra) He explained why the repairs done in the 1800s using cement, are having to be replaced with technology from the Middle Ages. The  column he is pointing at is actually the top of a spire up 12 flights of scaffolding.
We took a boat trip out to an island that has variously been, since 995,  a monastery,  a farm, a fort and a WW2  German air defence base when Germany occupied Norway.  Blip is my 3 men sauntering along one of the city's many wide traffic free streets.  Temperature reached 29°C. And I managed a before breakfast swim in rhe sea. We're taking an overnight train out at 11pm. See you tomorrow.
