Yellow Daisy with a Soldier Beetle

A bit of sun first thing, then cloudy, still very warm. Quiet day ay work. Partner has a conference over lunchtime, so I am on my own for a wee walk at lunchtime. Soldier beetles, like this one on a yellow daisy, have been a rarity this year, only making an appearance in the past few weeks. and not as red as they have been in the past 2 years.

Partner back quite late, but there is still time for a wee walk before heading to a café for Friday afternoon coffee and cake.
