Tawny Owl

Sleeping tawny owl at Martin Mere. They can be a little difficult to spot high up in the trees. This is a backblip.

Update: I wasn't going to explain my absence but here goes.  Due to many family issues and problems,  I haven’t been able to get out much or focus on photography during the past month. I need to set up some boundaries to ensure that I get more time for myself. It has been quite a difficult time and there are still some ongoing issues that I can’t avoid being involved in. Not least, the problems associated with my autistic son’s housing and his future.

Tragically, my niece’s 18-year-old daughter unexpectedly died recently and it sent shock waves through the family. It is her funeral on Wednesday.
