Eldest son decided it was too hot so offered to go in the stocks and be pelted at with wet sponges by his younger brother. He paid for that special privilege, daft lad.

Village Carnival in its 22nd year was a hit today. I should imagine though there will be a fair few burnt shoulders come the end of festivities as it is very very hot
