Joe is here and staying the night. I asked him to help me with the sash window in the spare room, which can be tricky to close, so I usually keep it locked. However, the Boston Ivy is starting to grow over it and I wanted to cut it back before it looked like Sleeping Beauty's castle. We can't cut all of it back yet because there are blackbirds nesting lower down, so we just opened the window, leaned out and pulled just enough so that we could see out again. We were interested in the suckers which attach the ivy to the wall/window/whatever and Joe showed me how to change the camera settings on my phone to get a better photo.

He has also brought 8 seasons of "Shetland", which I have wanted to watch for a long time, so tonight is Season 1, Episode 1. See you on the other side :-)
