Just waiting for the ducks

There weren't too many mallards around and certainly no males ...... guess they were off on a boys weekend. You can buy duck food from the cafe but this youngster was having quite a wait.

We didn't have too much sun today but it was quite warm. By the time sis and I had enjoyed a coffee and a walk round the pond the queue at the cafe was for ice creams. Even youngsters in prams were licking away at very large cones while the melting ice cream melted and trickled down the sides of the cone and all over the hands.
