Curry roller coaster

Mr Eric Pickles likes a good curry or ten. Rick Stein is currently searching for the perfect one in India (he should have just gone to my Mum's). Even though I can make a passable one, there's nothing like the takeaway version - especially from Gurkhas in Sydenham where the staff are so lovely.

The stages of takeaway curry for me are:

1) The best bit, the anticipation just after you order (over order in my case). I can almost taste it.
2) The arrival. It comes, sometimes with unexpected free stuff! It rarely disappoints.
3) Point of no return. That point of continuing to eat it when you're not hungry, feeling full and a bit sick.
4) The evacuation. Same day, the next morning or both. What a relief.

What a rollacoster! When's the next one? :)
