Not Leaving Yet

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Eldest Mini Princess,

The Boss’s boss invited a few (9) people from work round to his house for dinner tonight.

He is also being made redundant and after dinner, I asked if tonight was his leaving night. He said “technically no” but he wanted to have a night with the people who meant something and had been there for him over the last few years.

It meant a lot to be included in that group of people. It was a brilliant and surprising emotional night. The Boss, Marina and scrum master were there but the other people I didn’t know as well were all great company too.

The food was fantastic and it was washed down with some very nice red wine. By the end of the night, the new career plan was for TBB and I to install and run a bar in the bowling club which backs onto his garden. It all made sense at the time!
